Rules of Seven Card Stud

In Seven Card Stud community cards are not used, and there are five betting rounds in contrast to four in Texas Hold'em and Omaha. The game is not organized with fixed positions on the contrary, the order of betting is determined by the same letters.
There are no blind, but all players must place an ante. With the above on the table, each player is dealt three cards: two hole cards face down and one face up, visible to all players.

The player with the lowest up card must take the initiative and make a commitment to "open" the hand. The opening bid is usually equal to one half of a standard bet a fixed limit game.

The next player to act is who is sitting to the left of the first, and the betting continues in this manner until all competitors have taken a decision.

A fourth card, called "Fourth Street" is dealt face up to the players still remain in play. This betting round is opened by the player with the best two cards visible.

One proceeds in the same manner both to the fifth and the sixth card. All are dealt face up, and the player with the Best Available up cards starts the betting on the next round.

The seventh and final card is dealt face down, and the player with the best cards visible opens the last round of betting. If more than one player remains in the hand at the end of this final round will proceed to the confrontation, and the winner was the one who is able to show the best five cards.

As its name implies, each player is dealt a total of seven cards in Seven Card Stud, and therefore can be played simultaneously with as many players as in Texas Hold'em. Indeed, in a table of eight players, there will be enough cards in the deck in the unlikely event that all remain in play until the end. In this case, the final card is placed face up on the table like a community card, but otherwise the cards are always individual.

Double bet on fourth street

A special situation may arise in the second round of betting if a player has a pair in his letters visible. So, both cards have the same numerical value. He or she has the option of betting the minimum bet or as usual, or fold.

Omaha Rules

The betting rounds in Omaha work as in Texas Hold'em, with a total of five community cards called "The Flop" (three letters), followed by "The Turn" (a letter) and "The River" (a letter ).
The dealer button and blinds also work the same way, and there is a round of betting before the flop. There is also a variant called Omaha Hi-Lo, in which the pot is split between the highest hand and the lowest, but the hierarchy of hands in Omaha High Pot Limit is the same as in Texas Hold'em and most other forms of poker.

Omaha vs. Texas Hold'em:

  • The main difference between Omaha and Texas Hold'em is that in the first partipantes receive four hole cards and exactly two of these letters should be used together with three of the cards on the table to create a poker hand of five cards. Given the number of possible combinations, the winning hand is often much stronger than a winning hand in Texas Hold'em.
  • The Omaha can be played Fixed Limit and No Limit, but the most common is Pot Limit variant. This means that the bets are limited to the current pot size: for example, you can bet less but no more than the total pot

Summary

The first betting round takes place once spread over the four hole cards. Then placed face up on the table three community cards: the flop. Begins the second betting round. Then the fourth community card dealt: the turn. It begins the third betting round, and finally the fifth and final community card is turned on the table: the river. With all the cards dealt, is held the last round of betting. If more than one player is still in play, it shall be the confrontation, and the player with the best poker hand is the winner.
